Sumners, one of the largest single site post production houses outside the M25, has been an early adopter of file-based workflow. In this session, Avid and Sumners will look at how workflows have evolved and discuss the essential pre-requisites to a successful experience.

Looking at a real life case study of “Children’s Hospital” for Maverick TV, we will identify the technical and production challenges associated with the project and the changes required in production and post production that working tapeless requires.

Best known for Road Wars on Sky and Police Interceptors on Five, Raw Cut Television has had to radically change the approach to producing programmes to survive and in fact thrive in the recession. In collaboration with Avid, this seminar will discuss how using technologies like file based shooting and the power of mobile editing can meet the challenges of shooting and delivering in High Definition without breaking the budget.

By making advance decisions and looking at editing as an integral part of the production process, Steve Warr examines new ways of working with post facilities and the challenges of delivering Raw Cut's exciting TV.
