Andrew Craske
What's been your favourite product launch in the last 12 months? Not exactly a product but Spotify is pretty good. From a Screen Yorkshire point of view, Red Riding was my favourite production(s) which we funded and supported. If you could be CEO of any company for a day, which would it be? Not a company as such but I'd quite like to be Head of MI6 for a day. What was your first Job? Paper boy then glass collector then pizza deliverer, warehouse work, numerous temp customer service and admin jobs, administrator and eventually sneaked my way into PR at Local Government Management Board. Desert Island, who's your man Friday? My brother -he's an expert canoe whittler. What do you enjoy most about your job? The variety and the fact I'm promoting Yorkshire - my home and my roots! Are you brand loyal? I buy supermarket-own-brand ibuprofen but not aftershave so you tell me (although if Morrisons start doing aftershave….) Are you heavily booked up for the next 6 months? Yorkshire has a couple of big productions hopefully shooting in spring but we always want more. Did you Betamax? My parents were late adopters so argued for years that we didn't need a video until they gave in - it was a VHS, with a remote on a lead. Facebook or Twitter? Both, but don't really tweet much. How has business been in the past few months? Productions have been down a bit in the last six months but we've had Five Days (BBC in-house), A Passionate Woman (BBC), Anne Lister (BBC), and Married, Single, Other for ITV What did you want to be growing up? A soldier for a while as my Grandad got me into World War II! Then a Leeds Rugby League player. Favourite holiday destination? Had great holiday in Vietnam. But spent many a year in Ibiza as a young rave-monkey so it will always be close to my heart. |
