What was your first Job? Working in a restaurant kitchen. Worst job in the world, and i've remained suspicous of restaurant food ever since, now I've seen what can go on in the kitchens….. Best location to film? Bath - the architecture is simply stunning in the Autumn evening light. Top tip for newcomers in the industry… I can't stress enough the importance of being early. You'll win no friends if you're late and delay a shoot. Who would you do a fly on the wall documentary on? Derren Brown - I'd like to expose that charlatan and reveal the real secrets behind his supposed mind control. Toughest job you worked on? Filming a promo for a hotel chain. They wanted night footage of famous resturants in Knightsbridge, which paparazzi were lurking around, and they really didn’t like having a camera pointed at them. The irony! Favourite holiday destination? Switzerland - you just can't help be inspired by the scenery. Ever worked with any any famous faces? Not directly worked with, but I almost ran over Myleene Klass with my steadicam rig. Old TV series you would resurrect? Thundercats. (I'm a kid at heart). If you could be CEO of any company for a day which would it be? The BBC. I could approve my own job application, so when the day's out and i'm not CEO anymore, i'd have a top job to walk into. High point of your career? Is yet to come! Did you Betamax? I Beta-didn’t Favourite advertisement of all time? From BMW's 'the hire' series - star. Directed by Guy Ritchie, it's the one where Madonna gets flung about in the back of an M5. Innovative rig shots of the car in action, and a real sense of humour at the end. The whole hire series is well worth a watch, proving advertising can also be entertainment. |
