Nevion demos its state-of-the-art video over IP offering at Broadcast Video Expo ~ top video transport provider to showcase industry-leading video transport solutions including Ventura series, FlashCase, Flashlink Compact, Multicon and Sublime 128

It will also showcase its range of industry-leading video transport solutions aimed at the broadcast and media industries - including the Ventura series, FlashCase, Flashlink Compact, Multicon and Sublime 128.

Following the announcement of three new products for video transport onto IP from its popular Ventura series of transport solutions - the VS901, VS905 and VS908 - Nevion will be showing live demos of its video over IP offering. The new solutions efficiently aggregate video signals across IP networks for content distribution of any kind - enabling broadcasters to have uncompressed quality video over IP, with built-in and proven reliability to help make their network more productive - minimising network requirement costs.

Designed for maximum portability, resistance to the elements and versatility, FlashCase is a rugged portable housing for use with up to five standard Flashlink fibre transport or signal processing modules. It connects camera sites to production trucks or other facilities through a simple and lightweight optical fibre connection. This increases distance capabilities and eliminates ground current loops, while allowing for multiple signals in the same cable, simplifying cabling infrastructure and reducing set-up time.

Flashlink Compact is Nevion’s award-winning Flashlink fibre transport series featuring multiple, highly scalable and flexible platform versions. Its Flashlink format conversion platform features high-performance up/down/cross converters for maximum scaling, motion adaptive deinterfacing, and preservation of picture quality for SD and HD video formats. It also reduces power consumption by 30-50%.

Multicon is an integrated system controller for the entire video transport chain, enabling the complete control of system assets across Nevion’s Ventura, VikinX and Flashlink product families - from camera output through signal processing and routing infrastructure to distribution of the signal. The system eliminates the need for different user interfaces to control applications, which enables the ability to make changes on the fly from one user interface.
