Da-Cappo waterproof Microphones and Que Audio

Que Audio a division of Da-Cappo Australia is proud to announce the release of four new products, to be heralded at the up and coming Broadcast and Video Expo in Earls Court London

The new products as with all Que products are complete solutions.

The products are marketed as kits and are based around a number of compatible products.

1) The Mini Shotgun is a 135mm x 8mm self powered or phantom powered fully featured shotgun microphone, fitted with the Da-Cappo style compact cable connector, making the microphone compatible with any type of microphone input using the Da-Cappo compact adaptors.

2) The Fish Pole is a 30cm microphone handle which extends to a 1.5m pole, allowing access in any situation to the source.

3) The Base, allows the pole to be screwed onto it, to make the pole either a table or floor standing microphone stand. The mini shock mount can also be screwed directly on to the base making the base into a compact desk top microphone stand.

4) The Mini Shock Mount is a shock mount microphone holder.

5) The Wombat is a fluffy wind shield, (wind - omitting - microphone - baffle - Australian technology).

6) The Cold Shoe is an adaptor to fit any camera with a hot shoe mount and the facility to mount the mini shock mount and mini shotgun microphone.

7) 3.5mm to XLR adaptor for phantom powered requirements.

THE KITS

The SNIPER KIT is designed to get your man. It is a cut down version of the ENG Kit with some notable changes. Unlike the self powered Mini Shotgun in the ENG Kit, the Sniper Kit is fitted with a 48v phantom powered version of the microphone. Included in the kit are the fish pole, base, mini shock mount, mini shotgun microphone, cable and wombat, all in a styled leatherette case.

The VIDEO KIT contains the mini shotgun mic (self powered version), a cold shoe adaptor, short curly lead, wombat and a 3.5mm to XLR adaptor, again all contained in a leatherette case.

The PRODUCTION KIT contains three complete sets of mini shotguns, fish poles, bases, shock mounts, wombats and universal shock mount clamps, all contained in a metal case.

The Production Kit is aimed at the sports broadcast market where multiple location microphones are required, or as foot mics for stage. Again where multiple matched microphones are required.

The self powered version and the phantom version of the mini shotgun are fitted with the Da-Cappo style compact connector, enabling the microphone to incorporate any of the Da-Cappo compact adaptors, making the microphone compatible with any microphone input.

This is a unique feature making the Que Mini Shotgun Microphone one of the most versatile products on the market. Even with its compact size the mini shotgun has remarkable side and rear rejection properties.

Lastly, Que Audio is proud to release the 210 Shotgun Package. This contains a 22mm diameter shotgun microphone with a overall length, including power supply of only 210mm. This microphone is designed to suit the new style of professional compact video cameras. Included in the kit is the cold shoe adaptor, a wombat, 30cm curly lead with 90 degree XLG plug, a shock mount and a leatherette case. This makes the 210 Shotgun Pack the shortest professional full size shotgun microphone on the market with full rejection features.

All Que Audio and Da-Cappo products are conceptualized and designed in Australia, using components from many countries worldwide. They are assembled in a specialist microphone manufacturing plant in China where they have the technology to assemble very small components.
