Miranda highlights multi-viewers, automatic loudness control and routing with embedded audio shuffling at Broadcast Video Expo
Miranda Technologies will be highlighting multiple new products at Broadcast Video Expo (Booth G-60), including Automatic Loudness Control (ALC), the award-winning Kaleido-Modular multi-viewer, NVISION Enterprise Class routers with integral de-embedding, shuffling and re-embedding and Imagestore 750 master control system with advanced audio.
Miranda’s new Automatic Loudness Control (ALC) offers a range of loudness control solutions with its signal processing interfaces including wideband processing based on its new advanced audio processing algorithms, as well as proven multi-band and wideband solutions through partnerships with audio industry leaders. These include Junger Audio’s Level Magic wideband processing, and Linear Acoustic’s Aeromax multi-band processing.
These three different Automatic Loudness Control solutions can provide up to eight channels of loudness processing per interfacing module. Operation can be based on either ‘set-and-forget’ or actively managed processing modes, with playout automation driving a bypass mode or different profiles.
The award winning new Kaleido-Modular is the most space and energy efficient multi-viewer system, with up to 20 multi-viewer outputs per 3RU frame, consuming only 300 Watts in total. Kaleido-Modular uses a card based design, with each module providing eight 3Gbps/HD/SD video inputs (with 3D support), and two multi-viewer outputs. Up to 10 multi-viewer modules can be housed in a 3RU Densite 3 frame, which weighs just 8.6Kg (19lbs) when fully populated.
The ultra-resilient NVISION Enterprise Class 3Gbps/HD/SD routers are now available with integral de-embedding, shuffling and re-embedding capabilities. Using new ‘hybrid switching technology’, every frame in the family can now de-embed, route, and re-embed up to 16 channels of mono audio per video input, and output in a completely non-blocking audio/video switch. This is achieved without affecting the router’s crosspoint redundancy, superior cable management, and exceptional cooling design.
The Imagestore 750 delivers high performance, HD/SD master control switching and channel branding. Its advanced audio capabilities including Dolby encoding/decoding and upmixing from 2.0 to 5.1. It also offers video mixing, dual DVEs, automated character generation, EAS support, and 5.1 audio mixing/playout.
