TSL Broadcast Video Expo 2010 Preview

Stand no: C44

TSL is an international, independent broadcast systems integrator which through its Professional Products Group designs, manufactures and sells worldwide a unique range of TSL-branded products - the latest of which will be shown at BVE 2010.

Featuring at BVE 2010:

Award-Winning Audio Monitoring: The multiple-award-winning PAM2-3G16 is a professional, multi-standard, multi-format audio monitor that simplifies multichannel audio monitoring via preset menus and shortcut keys for rapid and intuitive access to critical elements of complex broadcast audio systems.

The PAM2-3G16 is aimed at a truly international market and represents a milestone in rackmount audio monitoring technology. The flexibility offered in terms of user selectable scales, ballistics, range of standard input/output signals supported and the ability to intelligently dissect and monitor any multichannel audio signal structure from mixed mono, stereo and 5.1 make PAM2-3G16 the most advanced and intuitive product in its sector.

TSL's closely-related PAM1-3G8 is the company's fastest selling ever product, which substantial sales in every region of the world. The PAM1-3G8 is the first 1U rack - mounted audio monitoring unit to feature the resolution, visibility and energy-efficiency of OLED displays for data and metering - marking the first time that an OLED has been designed for use in the audio monitoring market.

Power Manager Mains Distribution Units (MDU Series): TSL's MDU12-PMi is a system and energy management solution that gives the user complete control over and visibility of equipment racks - no matter how geographically spread their locations. With its remotely switchable outputs, it will play a central role in system management and conservation of energy in major new broadcast installations.

The MDU12-PMi energy management system provides remote Ethernet control and monitoring of 12 individually switched IEC outputs via secure web browser with SNMP and email alarms for fuse fail, power fail, over/under current alarm, input voltage and power measurement all alongside 16 GPI inputs. It's sophisticated "Current Sensing" feature monitors the total or individual outlets power consumption and operating temperatures of all rack-mounted equipment; providing clear warnings if variables rise above, or fall below, fully programmable limits.

Under Monitor Displays and Tally: Thousands of broadcasters around the world rely on TSL's ever-popular TallyMan UMD and Tally System, which takes tally management to new levels of functionality. With the increasing scale and complexity of operations such as outside broadcasts, the TallyMan system offers the flexibility needed in modern day Tally management.

TSL's TMC-1 (TallyMan Computer 1) is a self contained unit able to control high-speed tally systems for large numbers of peripherals and functions. The 1RU unit features dual-redundant internal power supply units, SNMP functionality, and an embedded Windows operating system that provides the speed and power of Windows but with no possibility of hard disc failure as the system is solid state.

The TMC-1 is also flexible enough to allow open-ended TallyMan development with the benefit of a "build your own system" option. In addition to tally and under monitor displays, the TMC-1 controller can also integrate with mains distribution and others systems designed and developed by TSL.
