Aspera Appoints Tyrell CCT as UK and Ireland Technology Solutions Partner

DUBLIN, February 12, 2010 - Tyrell CCT, a leading creative technology solutions provider for the broadcast and post-production industry, today announced a partnership with high-speed file transfer expert Aspera, to expand the company’s reach, expertise and technical capabilities in the UK and Ireland. Under the terms of the agreement, Tyrell CCT will have responsibility for the sale and support of a complete portfolio of innovative software solutions based on Aspera’s fasp™ transport technology, which has become a market leader for the high-speed movement of large files over wide area networks. Tyrell CCT will represent Aspera at Stand K24, Broadcast Video Expo, 16-18, February and will showcase the company’s Enterprise Console with Isilon’s cluster integration.

Aspera selected Tyrell CCT following an extensive review process and previous experience of working together on joint projects. Tyrell CCT specified and implemented Aspera’s Connect Server as the transfer tool of choice for delivery of user generated content on the BBC’s Springwatch programme last year. The Aspera solution enabled the BBC to quickly and securely deliver content from their Norfolk site for assimilation into their tapeless post production workflow at BBC London. The Aspera Connect Server offers easy, secure and managed file delivery at maximum speed utilising Aspera’s high-performance fasp digital transport and data encryption technologies.
